No Need to Run

Often we see people running from the situations and not facing them, which made me wonder why do we do it and how can we be the fighters. Therefore, my this poem shows how can we achieve it.

NO NEED TO RUN

While driving the car
On my way to office,
Got banged into by a mobike
In the heavy traffic.

I sensed this could happen
As that was a sudden jerk,
Thought of scolding the guy,
Yet could not go berserk.

This was because
He was a young collegiate,
Excited he might be,
Of riding a bike of late.

I only thought of preaching to
Not to ride that fast,
For it didn’t hurt me,
But could have been his last.

So, as I opened the window
Of my injured car,
The lad ran scared
As running from the war.

Escaped, assumed he, but
That’s what he cannot,
He will always be a shirker,
In his own web of thought.

This is what we all do,
I earnestly cogitated,
Run from the problem,
Is what we are habituated.

Let’s turn it to a challenge,
And do a face-off.
Let’s learn to be a fighter,
Rather than to scoff.

It’s you who’s in the situation
And only you can duly mend,
Your staying will surely help,
So there’s no need to run my friend.

Love always!

Respect

Dear readers,

Here comes my another poem named “RESPECT”. This is the one thing that every creature  of the earth deserves, hence the poem.

So what if I cannot speak
The language of sophistication.
So what if I could not get
Enough of education.
So what if cannot afford the
attire of modern civilization.
So what if I work for lower wages
In a big organization.
So what if I do not bear
Any specialization.
So what if my skin tone
Is darker than your imagination.
So what if I was born
out of a gruesome situation.
So what if I don’t have a father
To prove my identification.
So what if I lay down every night
In a roofless habitation.
So what if I am not entitled
To the so-called reputation.
But,
Oh people of the world
I am too, just like you
The Almighty’s creation.
I don’t demand much from you,
No sympathy, no adulation.
The only thing if you wish to give,
Then respect is all my requisition.

Happy reading
Love!

Call me the Sky

They call me a star, and
I question which one am I
Just be a little precise
For many are in the sky.

Am I the one that eternally
Shines on the pole
Or the one invisible
And is called a black hole?

Whichever that may be,
A star it shall remain
One out of myriad
Myriad of the same.

If I am too one of them
Where is my identity?
So a star is what
I would never want to be.

So call me by a word
That shows that I am me
Not just any other piece
But a special part of thee.

A word that is beyond all barriers
And tells all what am I
Call me the moon, call me the sun,
Or call me the sky.

Be yourself, be unique
Love always!

YOU ARE SPECIAL TO ME FRIEND

How do we make friends?
What are the criteria?
Do we see the face or other physical characteristics?
Or the money or education matters?

Let’s find out…
The big schools of the cities have children studying from various big households. People who are well-off send their kids to the biggest and the most renowned schools of the city. I don’t know which category of the society we fall under but yeah, my daughter, who is just five, is studying in a comparatively good school. A few days back when I went to take my daughter back from the school, I saw her waving to a little girl from the car’s window, who lived in a small kuchcha house (house made up of gravel and sand) just next to the school. Her parents perhaps are the masons - basically a labor-class family (I personally hate the term but it is for the Indians who say it with elan). When I asked my daughter about who that girl was and why was she waving her hand to her, she (with a tone of obviousness) said to me “mamma, she is my friend”. I was a little surprised but then I asked her what her name was which with a little innocence she replied “I don’t know, I only know is that she is my friend”. I didn't understand exactly what her criterion of making this friend was, however, whatever criterion it could have been, it did make me feel proud.
Friends, don’t we all try to make friends with people of particular status or the ones who fit our chosen criterion? And that is what we teach our children to do so. Why can’t we let them free to make friends of their own choice, with whom they feel good, with the ones that make them feel like themselves? Why should there be any kind of restriction in choosing and making friends too? Friends are the ones who show you the right way towards life, either by ditching you and making you learn some crucial lessons of life or by standing by your side making you learn crucial lessons of life! Any which way, they help you learn the same things. Let everyone be free to choose whoever friend they want to make. Let them learn their own lessons their own ways. Let them know the value of having friends.
There are different kinds of friends that come and go and stay as per the requirement of life stages. A smile friend (as my daughter has), a hello friend, a bye-bye friend, an all-the-time-crying friend, an all-the-time-grinning friend, a phone friend, a distant friend, a famous friend, a boasting friend, a stylish friend, an intelligent friend, a stupid friend, just-one-call-away friend, a never-will-pick-my-call friend, an all-time-enthusiastic friend, an I-care-a-damn friend and the list goes on and on. You must be having one of each kind and should have for all types of situation. Know that your life is incomplete without making friends. Have more of them and enjoy your life with different angles.
Tell all your friends what is their type and why are they important to you and see for yourself what happens.
Dedicated to all my friends. You all have been crucial in shaping my life.

Absence of Evil

In 1902, a professor asked his student whether it
was God who created everythin that exists in the
universe ?

Student replied: Yes

He again asked:
what about evil ? Has God created evil also?

The
student got silent.... Then the student requested
that may he ask a question for him?
Professor
allowed him to do so.

He asked: Does cold exist
Professor said : yes ! Dont u feel the cold dear

Student said: I'm sorry but ur wrong sir. Cold is a
complete absence of heat.. There is no cold, it is
only an absence of heat.

Student asked again:
Does darkness exist ? Professor said: yes !

Student
replied: ur again wrong sir. There is no such thing
like darkness. Its actually the absence of light.

Sir ! We always study light & heat, but not cold &
darkness.

"Similarly, the evil does not exist.
Actually it is the absence of love, faith & true
belief in God."
That student was swami Vivekananda...!!!.

World is mine

Hi Pals!
I came scross this beautiful poem, where i found that we all tend to actually crib and ceave for thing we so not have. And in wanting the don't-haves, we forget or take for  granted what we have. So from today onwards, I genuinely and strongly feel that the WORLD IS MINE. Read and enjoy:

A beautiful poem:
---

"The World is Mine"
--------------------

Today, upon a bus, I saw a very beautiful woman,
And wished I were as beautiful.
When suddenly she rose to leave,
I saw her hobble down the aisle.
She had one leg and wore a crutch.
But as she passed, she passed a smile.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two legs; the world is mine.

I stopped to buy some candy,
The lad who sold it had such charm,
I talked with him, he seemed so glad,
If I were late, it'd do no harm.
And as I left, he said to me,
"I thank you, you've been so kind.
It's nice to talk with folks like you.
You see," he said, "I'm blind."
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine.
I have two eyes; the world is mine.

Later while walking down the street,
I saw a child I knew.
He stood and watched the others play,
but he did not know what to do.
I stopped a moment and then I said,
"Why don't you join them dear?"
He looked ahead without a word,
I forgot, he couldn't hear.
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine,
I have two ears; the world is mine.

With feet to take me where I'd go,
With eyes to see the sunset's glow,
With ears to hear what I'd know.
With loving family & friends to enjoy life
Oh, God, forgive me when I whine,
I've been blessed indeed, the world is mine.
